Former Tottenham striker picks ELEVEN Arsenal stars in combined North London derby XI | The Sun

DARREN BENT's has picked ELEVEN Arsenal players in his combined team with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners are set to take on their fierce rivals this weekend with both sides hoping to maintain their unbeaten starts to the Premier League season.

During the build-up to the game, many fans and pundits have picked their combined teams out of the players from each club.

However, Bent has gone a different route, as his combined eleven is made up entirely of Arsenal players despite having played for Tottenham during his career.

The former Prem star went for David Raya in goal and a backline of Oleksandr Zinchenko, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White.

Bent then opted for a midfield trio of Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey and an attack of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.

This means the likes of James Maddison, Son Heung-min, Christian Romeo and Destiny Udogie have missed out despite being vital players for Spurs.

"Last season he was poor on the left."

Maddison was the only other player from Tottenham that Bent considered, but he insisted that Odegaard was the better choice.

So far this season, the former Leicester City midfielder has outperformed the Norweigan with two goals and two assists.

Odegaard, however, has only scored two goals so far this campaign and has not provided a single assist.

Bent starred for Spurs between 2007 and 2009 as he netted 18 Premier League goals in 60 appearances.
