Harry Kane and Bayern team-mates arrive in matching tracksuits for party after dumping Man Utd out of Champions League | The Sun

HARRY KANE and his Bayern Munich team-mates partied into the night after dumping Manchester United out of the Champions League.

The German giants arrived at Old Trafford last night knowing they were already through top of the group.

But that did not stop Kane from combining with Kingsley Coman for the winning goal in the second half.

After the game, Thomas Tuchel allowed his players to go and let their hair down to celebrate topping the group with a party thrown by their beer sponsor.

The players took a coach from Old Trafford to The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, located just over two miles from the stadium.

The squad arrived at 11:20pm and were pictured wearing matching burgundy colour tracksuits as they got off the coach.

Club legend Thomas Muller shared a picture of himself and two team-mates – Konrad Laimer and Frans Krätzig – while on the coach.

The 2014 World Cup winner captioned his post: "Go Ma boys."

The travelling support trolled too, with fans heard chanting "Football's coming home" – a song synonymous with English football – immediately after Coman scored the decisive goal.

Meanwhile, the inquest into this Champions League disaster has already begun at Man Utd.

It is only the second time after the 2005/06 season that the Red Devils have finished bottom of their group in the competition.

Man Utd made more history by conceding the most goals ever by an English team in the group stage with 15.

Furthermore, the club has now been eliminated at the group stage in three of the seven UCL campaigns they have been in since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, as many times as they had been in 18 campaigns with him.

Despite this, Erik ten Hag remained defiant, telling TNT Sports after the game: "We didn't lose it today, that's clear.

"We had a good performance but also we made mistakes. Individual errors. In the end it was not good enough.

"Today's performance was very good, we didn't deserve to lose, but we lost the game.

"The team did very well. We were very good in defending organisations, very good in the pressing. But we did not take enough benefit from it, that's the truth.

"But also Bayern is a good team. Even when they are not in the game, they have individual class and just need one moment. Unfortunately that happened.

"We know we want to be more consistent. As manager I have to improve the team, I have to guide them and the players have to take the responsibility. We have to do that together.

"The players gave everything, you saw the spirit. I have to credit the team, big compliments to the way they worked together, as a team, against a good Bayern side.

"You need energy from the bench, especially our front line, the options were limited."

If last night's damning result was not enough, they now face going into the weekend's game against Liverpool without Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw after the pair went off injured.

Bayern are next in action on Saturday evening against Stuttgart.
