In episode six of the eight-part series, Morikawa, 26, is seen discussing The Masters while his dog chills on the seat beside the golfer's fiancee, Katherine Zhu.

Koa is seen wearing a red garment around his neck and little shoes on his paws.

And he becomes the focus of the room when Morikawa's agent, Andrew Kipper, asks the dog: "Koa, are you excited for your first Masters?"

Koa simply yawns as the camera then cuts away from him… but that is not the extent of the coverage he has received online.

Fans have poured in with their reaction to him and his little shoes and have now become more aware of the Instagram page dedicated to him.

One said: "Collin Morikawa’s dog is adorable, need a full season of the show just about his dog".

Another replied: "Collin Morikawa is now my favourite golfer only due to the fact that he travels with his dog. This is definitely some s*** I would do".

And a third said: "How they going to just show glimpses of Collin Morikawa’s dog like that!?"

Koa's owners, Morikawa and Katherine, have been documenting his life since they welcomed him into their family at the end of 2020.

And he has enjoyed a host of unique experiences including getting behind the wheel of Morikawa's golf buggy.

He has also been pictured skateboarding, sitting in Morikawa's golf bag, and invading the green as the two-time major winner practices his putting.

Morikawa took Koa in just a few months after winning his first major – the PGA Championship in 2020.

After that he went on to claim The Open Championship the following year.

He is ranked seventh in the world but has risen to as high as No2 in the past.
