CHELSEA were interested in signing Manchester United's Jadon Sancho the summer, reports claim.
The 23-year-old has hit the headlines after a public bust-up with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
The winger took to social media Sunday night to fire back at claims made by the Dutch boss regarding his training performance and effectively called him a liar.
Sancho posted online: "I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"
The extraordinary comeback came as the Dutchman blasted the winger after not selecting him for the Arsenal game on Sunday.

The Blues instead moved for Man City's Cole Palmer.
Sancho has been tipped to still depart this summer, however only a handful of countries' transfer windows remain open – among them Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Since signing for the Red Devils in 2021 for £73m from Borussia Dortmund Sancho has struggled to reproduce his Bundesliga form.
A total of 12 goals and six assists from 82 games has been seen as a poor return on United's investment.
Last December Sancho trained alone for eight weeks at Dutch amateur club OJC Rosmalen working alongside coaches trusted by Ten Hag- to deal with the player's physical and mental issues.
He did not play for United for more than three months.
While there has never been any doubt about his enormous talent, Pep Guardiola, former team-mate Emre Can, Dortmund managers and club officials, along with Gareth Southgate, have all questioned his work ethic and lifestyle choices.
