Jose Mourinho's Roma to battle Man Utd and Arsenal for Paulo Dybala transfer as Argentine lowers wage demands | The Sun

JOSE MOURINHO is ready to battle both Manchester United and Arsenal to try and sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer.

The Argentina forward, 28, left Juventus last month when his contract expired and has a number of clubs chasing his services.

He looked to join Inter Milan only for Romelu Lukaku’s return to the San Siro to scupper that move.

His representatives have approached Manchester United to a potential deal while Arsenal have also been linked.

However, the star’s wage demands have proven to be a problem as he searches for a new club.

A report claimed he is now willing to accept a contract worth £5million annually – which is worth around £100,000-a-week.

Both United and Arsenal could afford that figure – but it has also alerted Roma manager Mourinho.

Corriere dello Sport says that the Special One is wanting to “raise the bar” at the club after leading them to the Europa Conference League last term.

And he knows that Dybala would “assure him goals, assists and imagination” as he tries to transform them into Serie A title challengers.

The forward, a five-time winner of the Italian top-flight, was blighted by injury last term and only made 29 appearances for Juventus.
