Man City hotshot Gabriel Jesus loves life as second fiddle to legend Sergio Aguero – The Sun

GABRIEL JESUS loves life as the Score-ceror’s Apprentice.

On paper, being Sergio Aguero’s understudy looks like one of the worst jobs in football.

After all, Jesus is competing with the most prolific overseas scorer to ever grace the Premier League.

Aguero, 31, has netted 177 goals in 255 games — and shows no signs of slowing down.

But 22-year-old Jesus insists it is an honour to share a pitch with him and get schooled in the art of goalscoring.

Still beaming after the 6-1 hammering of Aston Villa, Jesus said: “Sergio is already a club legend — now he is a Premier League legend.

“Whenever he goes out on the pitch he always seems to score. I have to learn from someone as good as him.

“He is more of a finisher so, of course, I have to learn that side of the game from him.

“But there is no better person to watch closely. We work together every day so I can pick up a lot by studying him.

“Defenders find it so difficult against him as he is just too quick. In our role you cannot take too much time to think — you have to finish!”
