Man Utd fans convinced Marcus Rashford's season is about to be transformed as crocked star returns to training | The Sun

LUKE SHAW has returned to Manchester United training following a three-month injury layoff.

And fans reckon the full-back's return could help spark Marcus Rashford into life.

Rashford, 26, has scored just one goal in 16 appearances so far this season.

With Shaw back to partner him on the left flank once again, however, his fortunes could soon change.

Reacting to the news that Shaw is back in training, one fan wrote: "Rashford's wing man is back😍🔥."

While a second pondered: "Does it mean Rashford from last season will return now?"

A third posted: "With luke Shaw returning back into the squad, we are fully getting Rashford back."

Another added: "Hugely missed by the team but most of all Rashford. Welcome back Luke Shaw."

The England left-back started Man Utd's first two Premier League games this season before suffering with injury.

His absence coupled with Tyrell Malacia's injury prompted the Red Devils to sign Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham on deadline day.

Last season Rashford bagged 30 goals in all competitions, while also laying on 11 assists.

Fans will hope to see Shaw thrust straight back into the team when the Red Devils travel to Everton this Sunday.

United go into the weekend sat in sixth, five points off the top four.
