Michael Smith has joked he's banned his dad from watching him compete after he made it into the quarter-finals of the World Grand Prix for the first time in his career.
The reigning World Champion didn't put a foot wrong as he eased passed Brendan Dolan in his second round tie 3-0. And speaking after the clash, he joked his parents are now banned from watching him play.
Smith joked to Online Darts: "The best part is my mum and dad are in Las Vegas, and my dad travels everywhere with me now! He's not allowed to come to this tournament.

Speaking about the win, Smith said: "The very first time was Jamie Lewis. I was two sets up, two legs up and going against Brendon I was always thinking about how I've been in this position before, blew it and lost."

Smith's quarter-final clash will come against Andrew Gilding on Friday evening – with a spot in the semi-finals on the line.
Smith continued: "I think we both have to win that game. Not only Andrew, I'm not going to give you some clickbait title. I think me and Andrew have both got to raise our game, the fans deserve better."
