The Nets are close to adding yet another All-Star.
Former Pistons forward Blake Griffin cleared free agency waivers and is expected to sign with Brooklyn, according to The Athletic.
The six-time All-Star will be joining a team that already features Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, all selected to play in the All-Star game Sunday.
The 31-year-old Griffin, who agreed to a contract buyout with the Pistons early this week, gives the Nets (24-13) more frontcourt help after they traded away center Jarrett Allen in the deal that brought Harden to Brooklyn.
Griffin is averaging 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists this season.
