Next Manchester United manager odds: Erik ten Hag future in doubt as bookies reveal likely candidates to replace him | The Sun

ERIK TEN HAG'S Manchester United future is in doubt after another Old Trafford horror show left their Champions League status hanging in the balance.

The Dutchman and his players were booed off after throwing away the lead twice to eventually lose 3-2 to Turkish side Galatasaray, making it two defeats from two in Group A.

That followed the 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace last weekend which left the Red Devils toiling in 10th place after their worst start to a season in 34 years.

Ten Hag has had his fair share of off-field troubles to deal with too.

And whether or not that is affecting the current side – who've lost five of their last seven games – is anyone's guess.

But bookmakers Paddy Power have reacted by making him second favoruite behind Paul Heckingbottom to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

As a result, they've also drafted up their most likely candidates to replace him, with Zinedine Zidane the market leader at 4/1.

Zidane has been linked with the vacancy the last three times it has come up, so it remains to be seen if it's something that could tempt him this time.

Julian Nagelsmann is next at 5/1 despite recently taking over as Germany's national team manager.

So the third favourite, Roberto De Zerbi looks the most likely candidate of those priced up so far – and is sure to be one that United fans would want.

He's being tipped for a big move when leaving the Seagulls and United might want to act quick before he heads elsewhere.

Graham Potter (10/1) remains out of work after his Chelsea sacking earlier this year and is just ahead of United legend Michael Carrick (12/1), who has turned things around at Middlesbrough after a poor start to the season.

While Gareth Southgate, Julen Lopeteguiand Antonio Conte are grouped together at 16/1, with former Old Trafford coach Kieran McKenna joined by Diego Simeone on 20/1 after a stunning start to his managerial career at Ipswich.
