PHIL JONES looks like a new man as he confirms his next career move.

The defender left long-term club Manchester United in the summer after his contract expired and has remained a free agent.

Jones, 31, had been spotted at the Old Trafford side following his injury nightmare.

He has now revealed that he is starting a global football sport directorship course after deciding on his next career move.

He wrote: "Start of a new journey.

It has been reported that the defender was keen to continue his playing career after leaving the Red Devils.

However, that would have to depend on if he can get himself back to the required fitness.

Jones had been linked with a surprise move to Greek outfit Aris during the summer transfer window.

It is believed that the former England international earned an astonishing £32.5million during his career.

He turned down a testimonial at Old Trafford as he suggested that only his parents would come and watch.
