Phil Taylor has tipped 16-year-old darts prodigy Luke Littler to follow in his footsteps and become one of the game's greatest ever players.
Littler has been making waves all year by hoovering up titles and scoring intimidating averages everywhere he goes. He is the reigning world youth champion and is threatening to make a splash at the PDC World Darts Championship ahead of his debut in the competition this week.
When asked how far Littler's talents could take him, Taylor didn't hold back, insisting he was the best teenaged player he'd ever seen. He did, however, urge the youngster to keep his feet on the ground, particularly given the amount of prize money in the modern game.

"I'm predicting he will be one of the best players ever," The Power said. "He's the best [teenager] I've ever seen in my life. We'll see what happens over the next 10 years, and what happens over the next five years when he's earned a few bob and wants to enjoy himself.
"Naturally when you're 16, 17, 18 [you want to go out and enjoy yourself], and the lad could be a millionaire. But then you've got to stay in and dedicate yourself, and that's going to be a bit difficult for the lad."
How long will it be before Luke Littler is challenging for world titles? Let us know in the comments section below.
Speaking about his meteoric rise back in August , Littler said: "I still can’t believe it. I have surprised myself. At the start of the year, my ambition was to win one Development Tour title, and I’ve won five.
"I knew I had the ability to beat the best players on the Development Tour, and I’ve beaten quite a few Tour Card holders. It is unbelievable. Now I’ve got my Tour Card, I can’t wait to prove what I can do on the big stages."
The Cheshire-born youngster, nicknamed 'The Nuke', is set to face Dutchman Christian Kist – the 2012 BDO world champion – in the first round of the PDC World Darts Championship on Wednesday.
