Racing tips: Templegate NAPS veteran to score stunning win at Brighton under comeback king Robert Winston

TEMPLEGATE goes in search of a load more winners through Thursday's racing as we build up to Champions Day at Ascot.

Scroll down for our man's top tips.

ESSAKA (2.10 Brighton, nap)

This nine-year-old turned back the clock with a fast-finishing third over course and distance last time. He drops even further in grade today and has comeback king Robert Winston in the saddle.

SWORD OF FATE (4.50 Carlisle, nb)

He was an easy winner at Perth three weeks ago and a 6lb rise in the weights won’t put the brakes on.

NEAR KETTERING (3.40 Carlisle, treble)

He is fit from the Flat but he’s much better over hurdles and won by nine lengths at Market Rasen the last time he went jumping. He should be too good again.

1.15     Mascat

1.45     Island Nation

Keeps going close and longer trip should be ideal.

2.20     See The Sea

Hammered his rivals at Ludlow and hard to beat again.

2.55     Young Wolf

Solid third latest and looks on a very fair mark.

3.30     Cry Wolf

Has been in good form since returning from a break.

4.05     O’Faolains Lad

Battled well to score last time and has form has been franked.

1.23     Bavington Bob

Made it three wins in a row at Hexham last time out.

1.55     Gold Des Bois

Went close on debut for this trainer on latest run.

2.30     Malpas

Should have won but for a late fall last time out.

3.05     Amalfi Doug

Consistent and should be right in the shake-up again.

3.40     Near Kettering (treble)

Good winner the last time he went over hurdles.

4.15     Foster’sisland

Consistent and has gone well over course and distance before.

4.50     Sword Of Fate (nb)

Plenty in hand when scoring at Perth last time out.

5.20     Limerick Leader

Promising effort when second on debut in Ireland.

2.10     ESSAKA (NAP)

Ran best race for a long time when third here last time out.

2.45     Safra

Good second at Epsom and the form looks solid enough.

3.20     Iconic Knight

Solid third last time and goes well for his 7lb claimer.

3.55     Breezy Storm

Finished well when second at Goodwood last time out.

4.30     Wisper

Good winner here latest and every chance under 6lb penalty.

5.05     Madrinho

Got his act together when winning here last time out.

5.40     Glamorous Breeze

Never runs a bad race and looks the one to beat.

5.30     Alpine Lady

Looks the type to improve for this longer trip.

6.00     Tollard Royal

Easy debut win at Kempton and has more to come.

6.30     Ramadhaan

Well bred and good third first time out at Haydock.

7.00     Billy Mill

Just failed at Wolver last time and big chance again.

7.30     Lord Lovelace

Win and second from his two racecourse runs so far.

8.00     Montather

Likes it here and has been running in stronger races.

8.30     Aiguillette

In good form and can give Buick another winner.
