MANCHESTER UNITED legend Roy Keane should return to management as he is "still young", according to a former team-mate.
Keane has not held a coaching role for over four years since his brief coaching stint with Nottingham Forest in 2019.
The former midfielder has managed Sunderland and Ipswich as well as being assistant manager with the Republic of Ireland, Aston Villa and Forest.
The ex-Ireland international has been a regular at Sky Sports where he works as a pundit along with other fellow legends.
But Kieran Richardson insists Keane would be a "great" boss and would perfectly fit today's game.
Richardson spent three years playing with the Irish hardman at United until the latter's departure in 2005.

The former full-back-turned-midfielder also played under the Red Devils great at Sunderland during the 2007-08 season.
And the ex-England international is adamant there is a club out there for the 52-year-old, who is still young enough to rekindle his managerial career.
Richardson exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone: "I feel like Roy would be a great manager in today's game.
"I do really feel like there's a club out there for him. He's still young, everyone knows his personality… why can't he go and manage somewhere?

"That's a question for him, not me. I just don't see why he can't still have a successful career in management in the next few years."
Keane still has admirers in the game as SunSport revealed Wales wanted him to replace Robert Page as their manager in June.
The TV pundit is hugely admired by Football Association of Wales CEO and fellow Irishman Noel Mooney.
But Mooney was talked down by other senior members of the Welsh hierarchy, who called for the FAW to support Page for the rest of the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.
And their faith in the Welsh tactician has been vindicated as the 49-year-old is close to punching the Dragons' ticket for the summer's finals in Germany.
