Come Sunday morning, the most viewed “Saturday Night Live” clip from Adam Driver’s third appearance is likely to be a reprise of a standout from his first: “Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base” from 2016, featuring his “Star Wars” character, Kylo Ren.
“I’ll say it. I haven’t been the best boss lately,” he tells viewers by way of an update. “I’ve been distracted by some personal drama.”
The narrator added, “Drama is right. Days after our show, Kylo killed his dad, cut his mentor in half, fired on his mom’s spacecraft and became obsessed with finding a young Jedi named Rey. So Kylo’s going back undercover to get things on track.”
He immediately tried to blend in with the other 20-something entry-level crew members by saying, “Hey guys, I’m Randy, the new intern. OK, boomer. So do you guys think when Kylo Ren offers Rey his hand the second time, she’ll take it?”
When one of his co-workers dismissively asked, “Who cares?” he got right in her face and said, “I do. I do.”

Things only got more awkward from there. “Randy” botched the admiral’s blue star milk order and when he got castigated for it, he killed said admiral (Beck Bennett).
“That new intern’s Kylo Ren, right?” a stormtrooper asked the camera crew.
His one gesture of goodwill — helping a female intern (Chloe Fineman) get into the pilot program — also went sideways.
“Maybe someday you’ll be as good a pilot as Kylo Ren,” he told her.
“Kylo Ren?!? Nah, I want to fly like Luke Skywalker” … were her last words before he sliced through her with his lightsaber.
“And now you’ll die like him, too,” he told her.
Later, he told the cameras, “I thought today went pretty good. I made four new friends and only killed one of them. That’s a pretty good start.”
Sadly, for Kylo Ren, that indeed counts as progress.
