TENNIS Ace Pete Sampras has shared the difficult news that his wife Bridgette has been diagnosed with cancer.

Bridgette Wilson, born September 25, 1973, is a former actress, singer, model and Miss Teen USA award winner.
During her acting career, Bridgette starred in a number of TV titles including Saved by the Bell, Murder She Wrote, Frasier and CSI: Miami.
She also appeared on the big screen in films such as Billy Madison, Last Action Hero, I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Wedding Planner.

The tennis legend admitted that his wife has been battling the disease since last December.
Bridgette has since undergone surgery and chemotherapy.
Sharing the difficult news with ATP, a statement from Pete read: ''As most have come to know, I am a pretty quiet and private person.
"However, this past year has been an exceptionally challenging time for my family and I have decided to share what’s been going on.
"Last December, my wife, Bridgette, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
"Since then, she has had major surgery, pushed through chemotherapy and continues with targeted maintenance therapy."
Pete added: ''Watching Bridgette continue to be an incredible mom and wife through it all, has been inspiring.
"I have also learned that it is very hard to reach for support when something is simply too hard to talk about.
"With that said, I will end this by humbly asking for good thoughts and prayers for our family as Bridgette continues to thrive on her healing journey."
How many children do Pete and Bridgette Sampras have?
Pete and Bridgette share two children together.
They are the parents to son Christian who was born in November 2002 and son Ryan, born in July 2005.

As well as sharing the difficult news of Bridgette's diagnosis, Pete also praised his children for how "strong" they have been in supporting him and his wife.
He said: ''Seeing our boys step up and be such strong supporters of Bridgette, myself, and each other has been amazing.''
