Strap yourselves in, Coronation Street fans! Next week is shaping up to be a chaotic one for the residents of the eponymous dwelling, with murder threats and shock revelations aplenty.
Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) comes up with a plot to make some money from the John Stape books, as she flogs them for £75.
But she’s not finished there, as she plans a little tribute to her killer dad, reading paragraphs from the book at school.
Matters are complicated further, however, when Hope pulls a hammer from her bag and approaches two girls who called her a nut job!
Is Hope set to take a life like her dad?
Ken Barlow (William Roache), meanwhile, receives a huge blast from the past, as he comes face-to-face with old flame Martha (Stephanie Beacham), who Nigel introduces as his ‘actor’ friend! Yes, THAT Martha.
Elsewhere on the street, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) heads to the prison with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to meet with Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
Harvey answers the questions posed by Sam, admitting that he intended to murder Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and not Natasha (Rachel Leskovac).
The gangster reveals his own mum died when he was 14, which Sam reckons played a role in him going off the rails, but the criminal soon storms out and sits alone in his cell, evidently rattled by Sam’s visit.
It’s going to be quite a week on the cobbles!
Coronation Street airs these scenes w/c Monday November 21 on ITV.
