ALISON Hammond threw This Morning into chaos as she whipped out her phone live on air.
It came after the ITV camera crew switched angles, so they could film Alison, 48, and co-host Dermot O'Leary, 50, sitting side-profile on the show sofa.
After joking she was going to "spoon" Dermot, Alison promptly sat bolt upright as she took out her mobile from her pocket.
She was seen tapping away with her blue manicured nails as she told This Morning viewers: "I'm so sorry, Ive just got to let …
"It's really rude of me, it's the postman.
"Can I just open the gate?

"The postman is at the gate and I need to let him in."
After swiping at her app she continued: "We might be on the telly but … go on, you carry on," referring to Dermot.
He said: "No I want to know – are you expecting anything in particular?"
She retorted: "None of your business!" to which he bluntly replied: "I think you have made it my business!"

Earlier this year, Alison put her four-bed home on the market.
Her £700,000 four bed, three bathroom pad in Solihull, West Midlands came with a hot tub in the garden.
Alison broadcast live from her home in May 2020 to show off her impressive DIY garden makeover.
Earlier this month, she enjoyed a luxury getaway at a lavish "party house."
