All Creatures Great and Small season 4 trailer
All Creatures Great and Small stars Nicholas Ralph and Rachel Shenton opened up on what it was like taking over film location Grassington and how the locals dealt with their presence.
The All Creatures team has been travelling up to the Yorkshire Dales ever since the series first began in 2020, where they have become part of the Yorkshire family.
Nicholas and Rachel recently spoke to Express.co.uk and other press about how the locals react when the team arrives.
When asked if they often get people coming to the set to watch, Rachel joked: “It is like doing theatre, having a live audience!
“It is lovely, everyone is so lovely, and if it is a nice day they bring their chairs and they sit and watch with an ice cream.”

Nicholas added: “It was great this year because we met a lot of families from America that were over just off the back of the show not expecting to see anything.
“They were bumping into us in Grassington and we never get to wander up and say hi, but we were like, ‘Hey how are you doing?’.”
The star went on to reveal the one local who always walks through the set without a care in the world.
He revealed: “There is one lady who lives in Grassington who just refuses to ever stop with her little dog.
“Like ‘No!’ with a hand up and honestly, I am like fair play to you. The locals are just fantastic.”

Agreeing with Nicholas, Rachel praised: “She is a local though. I think some of the locals are just used to us now so it’s not too bad.
“They are amazing and it just wouldn’t be possible without them either, impossible without the support of Grassington.
“We just take over when we arrive, there are so many of us and we’re transforming it into the 40s and it couldn’t be done without their support.”
The fourth series is set to hit Channel 5 screens on October, 5 with Helen Herriot and James Herriot expanding their family as they get broody.
Newcomer trainee veterinary student Richard Carmody (James Anthony-Rose) arrives at Skeldale House but causes a stir with Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West).
All Creatures Great and Small will return on October 5, and is available to watch on My5.
