All Creatures Great and Small: Helen discusses pregnancy
All Creatures Great and Small star Rachel Shenton won an Oscar back in 2018 for her role in the short film, The Silent Child.
It tells the story of a girl who struggles to communicate and was named best live-action short film.
Rachel recently spoke about her Oscar win to Express.co.uk and other press, admitting she often forgets it is on her bookshelf.
She explained: “I have put it on the bookshelf. People get very used to it and I get very used to it
“I don’t even think about, in terms of it being there, I don’t notice it, like any other bits of furniture I suppose.”

When accepting the award back in 2018, she said in her speech: “I made a promise to our six-year-old lead actress that I would sign this speech. My hands are shaking a little bit so I apologise.”
Whilst talking to Express.co.uk, Rachel also opened up on her recent role in Channel 5 drama For Her Sins.
The series saw lawyer and mother-of-two Laura (played by Jo Joyner) seem to have it all and when she met charming newcomer Emily (Rachel Shenton) in the playground, they quickly became firm friends.
But all was not what as seemed as Laura was unwittingly led down an increasingly dangerous path as Emily set about infiltrating her life and poisoning it from the inside.
Opening up about the role and overcoming her fear of water, Rachel admitted: “It was very different, but it is nice to do something different.

“She [Emily] was a bit of a nutcase, wasn’t she, [but] it was really nice, you get into this industry to play a range of characters and do loads of different things and of course Helen is so lovely and it’s the 1940s and it is all very nice.
“So when I got that script, I was very interested straight away and when it looked like it was happening I was excitd to do something totally wild.
“There was a water stunt as well and I hate putting my head under water, like really don’t like it so when I first got the job and said I would do it, I hadn’t read the last episode.
“I was already filming in Malta and I had to get the director and say ‘Just to let you now I don’t think I have ever put my head under water’ and they were like ‘ha ha’ and I was like ‘No I am being serious’.
“So it was a real personal feat as well, I overcame something in the stunt. It was in a tank but it am still very proud of myself.”
All Creatures Great and Small airs Thursday from 9pm on Channel 5.
