In news that will surprise no one, it's finally been confirmed that Ash London will be the next person to sip from 2DayFM's poisoned chalice.
The popular radio presenter, who has been an Austero mainstay for years, has been filling in on the Sydney breakfast show ever since Em Rusciano announced she was stepping down. London was tipped to stay behind the microphone in 2019, despite Hit Network bosses remaining tight-lipped for weeks.

They were followed by included Rove McManus and Sam Frost, however they were shown the door in late 2016 to make way for Rusciano. The comedian and author lasted two years on the struggling 2DayFM breakfast show, before hanging up her headphones in September.
Rusciano said her pregnancy meant she couldn’t see out her contract. There were also rumours she didn't get along with fellow staff or her co-presenters.
Hit Network boss Gemma Fordham said in a statement she was thrilled Ash London was joining the 2DayFM breakfast team.
"She is the real deal, connects authentically with audiences and brings a fun, fresh and frank take on the day," she said. "The chemistry she has with Grant and Ed will only continue to flourish and we are excited about what is ahead for them."
