BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay was less than impressed when he was officially snubbed by one of the show’s most exclusive guests as they heaped praise on his co-star.
On Wednesday’s (December 6) visit to the BBC studios, the 54-year-old welcomed viewers back to the show to discuss some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines. But his usual co-star Sally Nugent was nowhere to be seen.
The brunette beauty, 52, usually hosts the morning show with the dad-of-three from Monday to Wednesday. But this week, the beloved news program has replaced the TV presenter with a series of her fellow colleagues.
For the mid-week show, blonde bombshell Rachel Burden joined the broadcaster on the famous red sofa. And it appears as though the big man in the North Pole approved the presenting shake-up on the show.
Reporting live from Macclesfield, presenter Ben Boulos took viewers inside Santa’s Grotto on former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher’s family farm. Joining them on Fletcher’s farm was Father Christmas himself who revealed some telling truths about the BBC presenters.
As he entered the wooden hut, Ben walked over to the famous man in red as he sat in a rocking chair reading his list of names. He said: "We've got Santa Clause himself this morning.
"I'm so sorry to interrupt you, I can see you're busily going through your list of who's been naughty and who's been nice. Can you see where Jon Kay and Rachel Burden are on the list please?"
The festive fellow was more than happy to share the news – but it wasn't all good news. He confessed: "
