A RIVAL streamer has saved a beloved Disney+ series after it was cancelled by the platform.
The video-on-demand service announced the removal of the US show a few months ago.
But now there's excellent news for fans: Roku has stepped in to save The Spiderwick Chronicles.
The dark coming-of-age story will air on the new smart TV service early next year.
The Spiderwick Chronicles had already finished filming when Disney+ announced their decision to give the series the chop in August.
They explained that they were lowering costs and wanted to focus more on producing their own original films and television shows.

"It is an honour to bring The Spiderwick Chronicles, a spectacular adventure-filled story led by the incredible Christian Slater and Joy Bryant, exclusively to The Roku Channel," Brian Tannenbaum, head of originals at Roku Media, said in a statement.
"We cannot wait to introduce this exquisitely crafted series, imagined by a world-class creative team, to millions of streamers."
The six-episode live-action series was created as a revival of a popular children's film.
The 2008 film, based on a book, follows three children who find their family estate is a portal to a magical world.
