Bradley Walsh and Omid Djalili team up for impromptu performance on Beat the Chasers

Bradley Walsh fans will already know that he’s a bit of a showman with more than one string to his bow.

But in tonight’s episode of ITV game show Beat the Chasers, host Bradley shows off his musical talents when he teams up with celebrity contestant Omid Djalili for an impromptu performance.

Bradley welcomes Omid to the star-studded version of the show, which airs over the next two nights, by saying: “It’s comedian and actor, it’s Omid Djalili everybody!”

As the audience descends into a loud applause, Mark Labbett, aka The Beast, turns to his co-star Jenny Ryan, best known as The Vixen, and says: “This should be fun.”

And it looks like Mark is right on the money, as Bradley and Omid then start the episode as they mean to go on.

As Omid laps up the audience’s cheers, Bradley decides to give the brainy Chasers and the audience at home some further entertainment.

61 year old Doctor Who star Bradley heads over to a podium and counts down as he begins to tap a tune.

Much to the audience’s delight, Winning Combination star Omid then shows off his dance moves.

The surprise performance makes The Chasers, including The Governess, real name Anne Hegarty, erupt into laughter.

However, will Omid or The Chasers have the last laugh when it comes to the game show?

Omid is one of the VIP contestants in the first of two celebrity special episodes of Beat the Chasers.

Other names taking on the greatest quiz team in the world – which also includes The Sinnerman, The Menace and The Dark Destroyer – are Richard Whitehead, Jenny Eclair and Clive Mantle.

The show sees them taking it in turns to choose how many Chasers they’ll go up against as they attempt to answer their questions correctly in a bid to win big money for charity.

Omid has previously revealed his love of The Chase and how a previous appearance on the main show inspired him to host his own quiz show, ITV's Winning Combination.

Omid explained: “I did a celebrity episode of The Chase and enjoyed it so much. Then the producers asked me to host Winning Combination.”

“Bradley Walsh makes it look so easy and he’s so good at reading questions. It took me a long time to learn to do that! Nobody can beat him and he’s very much a bench mark.”
