Camilla Thurlow reveals her fears over her relationship with Jamie Jewitt in her brand new ITVBe show.
‘What Camilla Did Next’ follows the former humanitarian worker at home with her boyfriend and in Cambodia as she clears mines for charity the HALO Trust.
Speaking to Mirror Online, Camila admitted there was no "secret" to a successful relationship and hit out at couples who are not "authentic".
The Love Island star, who became the nation’s sweetheart in 2017, gets emotional on her new show as she talks about speculation Jamie had cheated with his ex.
Camilla goes to Love Island pal Montana Brown with her concerns after her boyfriend was snapped at the same party as his ex-girlfriend during a work trip to New York.
Speaking on the show, she admits: "It does seem like people sometimes want us to break up.
"Having a real in the public eye isn’t always easy. People can say quite nasty things sometimes like ‘I’m not attractive enough for Jamie’ or ‘I’m boring and he’ll get bored of me’ and it hurts.
"You want your partner to feel lucky to be with you. Being told why they’re not isn’t always enjoyable."
Jamie claims the only time they have problems is when stories emerge, while Camilla admits she struggles to be in the public eye.
The couple managed to weather the storm and remain the strongest to ever emerge from Love Island.
She admitted that some of the splits, such as Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson , did not surprise her because "you don’t know what’s going to happen when you come back".
Speaking to Mirror Online, she said: "People have to be happy whether it’s together for apart. It’s always sad whenever anyone splits up, but if it’s the right thing for the people involved, that is the right thing to do.
"We try not to compare ourselves to other couples. I do think you kind of see that in the show. We do our own thing and we do what’s right for us. I think that’s all you can do in a relationship."
Camilla told us she would not be jealous if Jamie went on a reality TV show and vice versa.
She also revealed why they do far less sponsored posts than the rest of their Love Island colleagues.
Slamming ‘fake’ stars, she said: "Jamie and I do do sponsored posts but we try and do things that we genuinely use.
"It’s important to try and be authentic and that for us works well. So that’s what I try and do anyway."
This special ITVBe documentary will document Camilla’s ongoing efforts to make the most of her celebrity and popularity to draw attention to a humanitarian cause she holds close to her heart.
Explaining the premise, she said: "The first half is basically Jamie and my life here and we pop back to Scotland to see my parents. It’s our life post Love Island – the real reality of it.
"The second half is in Cambodia. I got back with the charity I used to work for and do some mine clearance with them. It’s kind of both parts of my life colliding in a way."
