Casualty spoilers: Stevie faces the conclusion of sexual harassment case

In the words of Marty (Shaheen Jafargholi) in tonight’s Casualty, ‘Today’s Judgement Day. Stevie finds out whether she stays or goes.’

It’s the day of the hearing to decide on Matthew (Osi Okerafor)’s claims that Stevie (Elinor Lawless) sexually harassed him. Stevie has the advice of the union rep recommended to her last week – but she seems determined to sabotage her own interests by being totally, well, Stevie. Even when she’s warned that her career might depend on the answers she gives, she can’t help herself from being glib and flippant.

Meanwhile Matthew is out for a run to clear his head before he has to give his version of events to the tribunal, when he hears screams from nearby. He finds a house ablaze and a desperate mother holding her baby at the window. In dramatic scenes Matthew tries to help – but can he save the family’s lives?

Back in the ED, Stevie has finished giving her evidence and has decided to work an extra shift. This means she’s around when Matthew arrives with some of the victims of the fire. Will he be able to keep his PTSD under control as he deals with the badly injured people?

Ahead of the hearing, Jacob (Charles Venn) gives Matthew some advice. Jacob of course has his own experience of abuse at the hands of Tina Mollett so is he seeing the situation entirely clearly? Or is he giving Matthew bad advice?

And when the decision comes about the sexual harassment case, will everyone who started the shift be finishing it?

Marty confides in Paige (Shalisha James-Davis) that he’s missing Adi (Raj Bajaj), and he’s shocked when Adi and his pregnant surrogate Jessica (Maya Saroya) arrive in the ED after Jessica has had worrying symptoms. Will the baby be okay? And will Marty and Adi be able to salvage anything of their relationship?

And it looks like Rash (Neet Mohan) has a secret crush – but is the feeling mutual?
