There’s relief in the Hope household as Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) is finally given a diagnosis in latest Emmerdale spoilers, but it’s not the news she wanted to hear.
Cathy is thankful to be officially diagnosed with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, but she’s upset to only be offered treatment to manage her symptoms.
Back at the B&B Cathy tells Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) she wants to find a cure to stop her PMDD symptoms. Despite the best efforts of Bob, Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), Cathy is unrelenting on her desire to cure her condition.
Later on, in a rage, Cathy throws an ornament through the B&B window, before pushing Wendy to the ground.
Bob arrives and starts to have chest pains. Cathy is concerned for her dad, but ends up fleeing the scene as Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) tends to Bob.
Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) finds Cathy upset, but when he promises to listen to her about her troubles, Cathy jumps to conclusions.
Meanwhile, grieving Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) admits that she needs Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) more than ever following Victor Anderson's (Eddie Osei) death, leaving Manpreet feeling guilty over the secret she’s keeping.
David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) admits that his feelings for Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) are burgeoning once again but Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) is far from happy to hear it.
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb Dingle (Will Ash) are surprised to be getting along in the Woolpack. But things get more serious when Cain receives a mysterious text during some sibling banter.
Cain invites his brother on a road trip, but asks him to keep it a secret from Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb). Cain makes a furtive call and the pair head off making a pact to keep their trip on the downlow.
Moira watches on furious that Cain is heading out when she’s asked him not to – she knows he’s up to something.
Meanwhile, Amelia Spencer (Daisy Cambpell) settles into The Woolpack and keen to help out Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), starts helping out behind the bar.
Elsewhere, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) vows to sell up and leave the village.
Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) is thrilled when Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) proposes they go on a date.
And Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) continues to struggle in the aftermath of her rape – will she open up to anyone about her horrific ordeal?
