CORONATION Street fans have demanded to know the fate of a 'missing' character as Bernie Winter goes to court.
Monday's episode of the ITV soap saw Bernie plead guilty to handling stolen goods after being advised by her solicitor, Joel.
Bernie had got involved after meeting up with her friend Big Garth in a bid to make some quick cash to help her son Paul, who has Motor Neurone Disease.
Considering her past record, the judge said she could receive a custodial sentence, which left her loved ones devastated.
An emotional Paul told the judge he "needs his mum" as he faces his last Christmas, and begged for them to reconsider.
However, some Coronation Street viewers were distracted by the absence of one character during the scenes.
