Corrie: Nurse tells Chesney that Gemma is wasting doctors’ time
Coronation Street fans think they’ve “worked out” what’s in store for Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) as she struggles with the tragic events unfolding in her family.
Gemma’s twin brother Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) was recently given the devastating diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND).
Like the rest of the family, Gemma has struggled to digest the news and seems to be projecting her worries onto her stepson, Joseph Brown (William Flanagan).
Friday’s episode of the ITV soap saw her petrified about the schoolboy, convinced he was dangerously unwell.
She went against her husband Chesney Brown’s (Sam Aston) wishes and kept him off school once again before later rushing him to A&E.

While waiting at the hospital, Gemma was given the heartbreaking news that Paul had just been informed he might only have six to 12 months left to live.
Devastated, Gemma turned her attention back to Joseph, who appeared to be perfectly healthy, but she remained convinced something was wrong with him.
Following the episode, several fans have theorised Gemma might be headed down a storyline involving Munchausen by Proxy.
The condition sees caregivers trying to convince doctors that a child or person in their care is seriously unwell.

Could Gemma be unwillingly putting Joseph in danger if she continues to force medical tests on him and allow him to keep missing school?
When Chesney arrived at the hospital, a nurse took him to one side to explain Gemma’s actions need to stop as she’s wasting hospital time and could be having an impact on Joseph.
Coronation Street continues on Monday at 8pm on ITV.
