Coronation Street newcomer left homeless as she rejects Roy Cropper's help | The Sun

LAUREN Bolton came back to Weatherfield in the hopes of a fresh start but things have taken a turn.

Sadly, the wayward teen is left homeless in Coronation Street when she rejects Roy Cropper's help.

Soap legend Roy Cropper (portrayed by David Neilson) has taken up the habit of taking characters under his wing as they struggle to find their footing in the cobbles.

Roy was seen taking care of Carla Connor, with whom he has developed a strong bond following the death of Underworld worker Hayley Cropper.

He was also seen giving chance after chance to an unhinged Becky Granger and also helped Fiz Brown during her own troubled times.

But the café owner may have bitten off more than he can chew with Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

After getting involved with Griff Reynolds' far-right gang, the teen left the cobbles and returned in the hopes of rekindling her relationship with Max Turner when her relationship with her mother spiralled out of control.

However, Max has moved on with another teen called Sabrina whom he is looking to impress.

And after trying to help Lauren settle in Weatherfield, he was horrified to find her trashing Audrey Roberts' hair salon in a fit of rage.

Lauren was unable to control her pain when she realised that Max wasn't interested in her.

Caught red-handed, Lauren was reassured by Max who vowed to keep things to himself.

But Max eventually turned on Lauren, leaving her to deal with the police for her actions and on the streets while he continues to keep his own life on the right track.

Next week on ITV, the lad played by Paddy Bever starts to work in the salon while his father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) advises him to steer well clear of Lauren altogether.

Meanwhile, Roy is determined to help Lauren, despite how ugly things have turned between them in the recent past.
