CORONATION Street star Lucy Fallon has returned to the programme's set for the first time ahead of her explosive comeback.
The actress has begun filming once again on the ITV soap opera as Bethany Platt.
Lucy has been off air since 2020 when she quit her role after a five-year stint.
However, earlier this year it was confirmed that she would be back for good after deciding to make a return to the show that made her a household name.
Now, in a new video Lucy can be seen beaming from ear to ear as she is seen backstage of the show.
Lucy says in the clip: "Hello everyone, it's me, Bethany!

"It's my first day back filming today. I'm very excited and a little bit nervous.
"I can't wait for you all to see what Bethany is up to."
The caption to the video suggested that Bethany would be back on-screen before the year is out as it read: "Bethany returns with a whole new look.
"Watch out for her arrival on screen towards the end of the year"

Fans of the show were left ecstatic as they raced to the comments section to share their excitement about the impending arrival of the character.
One wrote: "Cannot wait for this! I do hope Bethany and Sarah still fight like cat and dog, that was always so entertaining!"
A second shared: "FAVOURITE CHARACTER IS BACK!!"
As a third added: "Love her!! Can’t wait to see her back onscreen."
Before a fourth pondered over the star's next possible storyline as they suggested: "Back for Daniel."
Bethany was in a relationship with Daniel Osbourne when she was last in Weatherfield but he is now seemingly loved up with cheating Daisy Midgeley.
The Platt family have also gone through turmoil after Stephen Reid's serial killer antics were exposed before he was mowed down by Peter Barlow.
It is safe to say that Bethany will be walking back to a whole load of drama.
