Coronation Street viewers have been suspicious of Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) ever since the night of the Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) murder trial last month. Viewers saw the lawyer spend the night away from home and many suspect he’s having an affair with his ex-wife Sabeen Habeeb (Zora Bishop). According to official soap spoilers, the truth will soon come out, but is it all too late? In upcoming scenes, Imran will get caught up with criminal Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor). Could his web of lies end up putting Toyah Battersby’s (Georgia Taylor) life on the line?

Sabeen is currently planning an appeal case for Harvey and has enlisted Imran to help.

She’s been blackmailing her ex-husband, telling him if he doesn’t do as she says she’ll reveal to Toyah where he was on the night of Kelly Neelan’s (Mollie Gibson) sentencing.

In upcoming scenes, having taken a call from social services, Toyah excitedly tells Imran they’re going to be fostering a four-year-old.

However, the news piles more pressure on Imran as he confides in Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) about Sabeen’s blackmail.

Later on, Imran corners Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) in the Rovers as Sabeen wants him to get information on Sharon Bentley’s (Tracie Bennett) whereabouts.

Likening Rita’s foster experience to his own, he quizzes her about her relationship with Sharon.

When Rita reveals her former foster daughter still calls and sends the odd text, Imran’s interest is piqued.

Whilst Rita’s distracted, Imran takes the opportunity to pocket her phone, but to his horror, it starts ringing.

Later in the week, Imran desperately tries to juggle the impending arrival of Elsie and Sabeen’s increasing demands for more information about Harvey.

However, when Rita sees through his latest bid to get information from her, she is disgusted and Imran tells Sabeen the blackmail has to stop.

As a result, Imran finally comes clean with Toyah about Sabeen’s blackmail plan and his one-night stand.

Toyah is devastated and can’t believe what she is hearing from her partner.

With Elsie about to arrive Toyah rushes off and bumps into Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in Victoria Gardens who tells her not to give up on what she and Imran have.

Imran makes it clear he’s relieved when Toyah returns to the flat all smiles for the social worker but has she forgiven him?

Later, Toyah is appalled when she finds out from Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) how Imran borrowed his phone in a bid to uncover information about Sharon.

When Imran is distracted she steals his phone, hoping to find evidence of what he’s done.

A furious Sabeen later storms into the solicitors’ office and tells Imran how she’s been accused of misconduct, had all her cases taken off her and he’s made an enemy for life out of Harvey.

As Sabeen accuses her ex of forwarding her private texts to her boss, Imran realises his phone is missing and that Toyah must be the one responsible.

Knowing Harvey’s appeal has been compromised Peter and Toyah assure Simon he is no longer in danger.

However, across Weatherfield Sabeen visits Harvey and informs him that Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) sister, Toyah, has jeopardised his appeal.

From his prison cell, a furious Harvey vows to have his revenge on the Battersby sisters.

Could Toyah’s life now be on the line as a result of Imran’s lies and betrayal?

Harvey could soon send one of his thugs to attack Toyah and Leanne, in a bid to seek revenge.

Could Toyah soon be hospitalised if she’s the victim of a violent attack? Viewers will have to tune in to find out her fate.

Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7:30 pm on ITV.
