BBC Countryfile: Judi Dench to join next episode
Countryfile announced Dame Judi Dench would be joining for a one-off special episode this week.
The 88-year-old will be appearing in this week’s episode of the agricultural series as a guest editor of the BBC series.
Concluding last week’s episode, presenter Sean Fletcher told viewers: “Join us next week for something rather special as we welcome acting royalty in Dame Judi Dench, who’ll be guest editing the show.”
It was then announced Judi would be joined by Charlotte Smith and Hamza Yassin from the Highlands of Scotland.
A preview of the episode shows the actress talking about her love for the country as she explains: “I would say, actually, that my spiritual home is Scotland, simply because I just feel comfortable here.”

Another clip shows Judi trying her hand at painting as she comments: “It’s very, very satisfying.”
A mishap must have occurred though, as she is later left with paint all over her face.
Judi will be exploring the wildlife of the Highlands and in another moment, she is amazed as Hamza points out a golden eagle.
“Believe it or not Judi, there is a golden eagle!” he exclaims, as Judi asks: “Where? Where? Where?”
A synopsis for the episode reads: “Judi Dench joins Charlotte Smith in the grounds of Inveraray Castle to reflect on the impact the countryside has had on her and her family.
“She’s also joined by her grandson Sam to check in on a tartan that’s being created for her in which every thread tells a personal story.
“Adam Henson meets her partner David Mills, who gave up dairying to create the British Wildlife Centre on his Surrey farm, while wildlife film-maker Hamza Yassin helps her fulfil a lifetime ambition to see golden eagles in the wild.”
