Danny Cipriani has been pictured cosying up to his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Jowita Przystal just days after he announced his shock split from his wife Victoria.
In photos obtained by The Sun, the former rugby star, 36, was seen gazing at his new dance partner after the pair finished a day of intense training ahead of starring in the upcoming Strictly Christmas Special.
Newly single Danny, who recently announced he'd split from his wife of two and a half years with an emotional statement that they were on "different journeys", appeared close to his new dance partner despite only meeting for the first time hours earlier.
Danny and Jowita also shared a rehearsal snap to Instagram as the duo are set to dazzle on the dancefloor for the annual Strictly festive special, which will air on Christmas Day.
An insider told the publication: "Danny and Jowita look set to become one of the most sensational couples of this year’s festive special.
"BBC bosses must have had some idea it would be a sizzling pairing on the dancefloor, but on a personal level probably didn’t expect them to get so close, so soon.
"They join a long line of stars and pros who’ve found themselves growing closer as a result of long, intimate sessions in the rehearsal studio."
OK! has contacted representatives for Danny Cipriani and Jowita Przystal for comment.
It comes as the duo are set to spend hours together in training ahead of the filming of the Strictly Christmas special.
Danny is just one of the celebs confirmed to take to the dancefloor in this year's Strictly Christmas Special and he joins Keisha Buchanan, Tillie Amartey, Sally Nugent, Dan Snow and Jamie Borthwick.
But the sportsman has had a busy few weeks as just nine days ago, the former England rugby player who was married to Victoria Rose, 42, for four years, announced their split.
Revealing the split to fans on Instagram, Danny shared: "Victoria and I sat together this weekend and agreed to separate after 4 years of marriage.
"Whilst we've had some wonderful times together, we've also recognised we're on different journeys and whilst this is sad news, it's also a new chapter for us both to purse our own happiness. I only wish the best for Victoria and her children."
Then he shared a cryptic post telling fans to always "follow your heart."
The full and lengthy quote that was posted read: "Here's one thing I've always known, even when it was buried among the rubble of my mind – it's better to follow your heart and be true to yourself than play by other people's rules.
"You might not be accepted by everyone but the rewards, when they finally come, will be so much sweeter than any trophy."
Hints of trouble in their marriage first surfaced when they recently unfollowed each other on social media.
