While the Queen Vic has been the hub of so much heartbreak in EastEnders over the years, nothing compares to the night that Bradley Branning fell from the roof and tragically passed away.
The beloved character, played by Charlie Clements, made a real impact during his time in Walford, with his most explosive scene occurring on Christmas day.
In a moment of pure tension, the nation watched on through their hands as a tape revealed that Bradley's girlfriend, Stacey Slater, had been getting on with his dad, Max Branning, behind closed doors.

And while his father was renowned as one of the most prolific ladies' men in television history, the act of pursuing his son's partner disgusted the millions of people watching with bated breath as the storyline played out.
Unsurprisingly heartbroken by what he'd seen, Bradley attacked Max, who was amusingly wearing a Father Christmas outfit, and put him straight through the Christmas Tree.
By 2010, the charismatic character had found it in his heart to forgive Stacey and courageously rose to her defence when Archie raped her, punching the cowardly man for his horrific crime. However, upon discovering what had happened, the police chased Bradley onto the roof, and in one of the saddest moments the soap has ever seen, Bradley fell and subsequently passed away.
In an interview with britishtheatre.com, the actor confessed that he'll always have a soft spot for Bradley, saying: "I look back on it very fondly. It was a great four years of my life. It taught me so much about what to do and about what not to do. It opened up doors to some things and closed doors to others. That’s just the nature of how soaps can be perceived, I think wrongly."
In the 13 years since, Charlie has starred in hit shows, like Casualty, Holby City and Henry VIII and His Six Wives. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has decided to live out his day-to-day life away from the limelight.
He's spent his time as a chef, rustling up sausage balms and mixed salads in his local garden centre, as well as working in the plant department.
However, following the end of lockdown, he vowed to get back in the acting game, telling his Instagram followers: "Last day as a chef today!! On to rehearsals next week… #actorslife."
In 2022, the talented performer voiced a part in a video game called 'A Plague Tale: Requiem', and in 2021, he starred in the world’s longest-running play, Mousetrap.
To the delight of his fans, he regularly updates his Instagram, often showcasing the delicious-looking chocolate cakes he's baked. And in a testament to his good nature, in July, he revealed that he landed 72 Golf holes in a day to raise £2000 for Prostate Cancer.
