Michelle Collins reveals why she left EastEnders
EastEnders’ viewers are concerned history will repeat itself, with a possible death twist for Gina Knight (played by Francesca Henry) on the BBC soap.
Gina collapsed following a drug overdose during the latest episode of the Walford-based drama following the dramatic return of her missing mother Rose Knight.
Rose, who is actually Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), stunned Albert Square’s residents with her comeback on Tuesday.
The Square found out Cindy was alive after she was seemingly killed off more than 20 years ago.
Cindy had actually gone into witness protection in 1998 while in prison, leading her to fake her own death.

Everyone assumed she was dead, but soap bosses brought her back in a major twist.
While she was in witness protection she changed her name to Rose and married George Knight (Colin Salmon) and they had two daughters.
After a row with George in 2014, she packed her bags and left her family. The truth about her disappearance was revealed on Tuesday.
Gina and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) faced their mother earlier this week after George found out why she left all those years back.

Gina refused to listen to what Cindy had to say and ended up getting drunk before it emerged she’d taken drugs and fallen ill at a club.
She collapsed and George later found his lifeless daughter appearing to suffer a drug overdose as Cindy watched on in horror.
Cindy has already lost her daughter Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) and son Steven Beale (Aaron Sidwell) – could she lose Gina too?
Taking to Twitter, one fan suggested: “I bet Gina will die of a drug overdose by the end of this year…”
Another shared: “Gina will be dead by Christmas… Just finally reunited with Cindy and she will have taken something dodgy.”
A third added: “I have a feeling Gina will exit this show sooner than people think. I have a feeling she’s going to take a lethal overdose soon.”
Will Gina pull through on the BBC soap, or will she end up leaving her loved ones heartbroken?
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One.
