EastEnders’ Gillian Taylforth finds love again with ten-years-younger toyboy – four years after split from drug baron ex | The Sun

ACTRESS Gillian Taylforth has found love again with new boyfriend Philip Oag.

The EastEnders legend, who called off her wedding to Dave Fairbairn in 2019, enjoyed a stroll with her new beau in Hertfordshire.



Gillian, known to millions for playing Kathy Beale in the BBC soap, wrapped up in a shearling coat which she teamed with a white scarf and black boots.

She appeared happy and was spotted smiling next to dapper Philip, who was dressed in a navy blazer, a light jumper and dark trousers.

Sources told The Sun the pair have been dating for at least a year and are living together at Gillian's house.

A source told The Sun: "Gillian is head over heels for Philip – they've been secretly dating for over a year and he's even moved into her home. Everyone's so pleased for her."

Philip is the Director of Operations at The Cranley Clinic – a cosmetic clinic in London.

He is 59-years-old – almost 10 years younger than the soap stalwart.

Gillian previously dated her convicted drug baron ex-boyfriend Fairbairn for six years, but she decided to call off their planned wedding at the end of 2019 after a series of disagreements.

He was later jailed in 2022 after admitting possessing firearms and being found guilty of perverting the course of justice.

He previously served seven years in jail after being found guilty in 2003 of plotting to import one of the biggest ecstasy hauls seized in the UK.

During their relationship, Gillian was banned from driving for 24 months when she failed a breath test and was found to be drunk behind the wheel and "significantly over" the booze limit.

She pleaded to avoid the ban as the star – in The Bill between 2006 and 2008 – said she needed it to drive her then fiancé Fairbairn to treatment for his prostate cancer.

Gillian found fame in Albert Square in 1985 and remained until 2000.

She then appeared in Footballers’ Wives, The Bill and Hollyoaks before returning to EastEnders in 2015.

Hailing from Islington in London, the 67-year-old actress – who is the sister of fellow star Kim Taylforth – has been a part of the London-based program since its very beginning.

Her character is currently skint and struggling to find a home with new husband Rocky – played by Brian Conley – who has a secret gambling habit.

Gillian's agent has been approached for comment.
