EastEnders fans are convinced they know the identity of Gina Knight's (Francesca Henry) mysterious ex-boyfriend.
The Walford resident was left heartbroken during Monday's (September 25) episode after she returned from Spain after a trip away with her dad George (Colin Salmon) and sister Anna Knight (Molly Rainford). They went to find a bar for their pub in Marbella and it seems like they got a deal.
After sharing the exciting announcement with Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), George went on to reveal that Anna had "boyfriend" troubles. The news didn't go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers who are convinced fans already know who the identity of the mystery man.

Talking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "My theory is Cindy kills Deano as she discovers what Deano did to Linda, as it emerges he's Gina's ex-boyfriend from Spain." A second person wrote: "Gina has an ex boyfriend in Spain? Interesting how it keeps being brought up. With everyone theorising he could be Dean.
A third person said: "That would be a good twist. Dean Wicks and Gina Knight. Could her ex make his way to Walford?" While another social media user replied: "Omg imagine the scenes."
Dean (Matt Di Angelo) hasn't been seen on screen since 2016 after evading justice for raping Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and attempting to sexually assault Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons). Fans are convinced he could be the dead body spotted on the floor of the Queen Vic in the flashforward episode.
Just before fans were given a quick glimpse to Christmas 2023, Linda was in distress in the present, telling Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) that she had seen a photo of Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), posted by Shirl's daughter Carly Wicks (Kellie Shirley).
The image featured Dean in the background, despite Shirley having previously disowned Dean for everything he's done. Linda couldn't believe what she was seeing, and it seemed intentional that in the same episode, Linda was seen toasting that men who hurt women should "get what they deserve".

Linda is seen in the flashforward sequence sporting a split lip, suggesting she has been in a fight or has been attacked. She's also the last of the six women to arrive at the bar, and looks the most frightened when we get a close view of her.
Does Dean come back to Walford looking for Gina and attack Linda in revenge, despite him being the only guilty one in this situation?Fans will have to wait and see.
