Ever since Dotty’s (played by Milly Zero) cruel scheme with Terry “Rocky” Cant (Brian Conley) was exposed at Christmas, the youngster has been ousted from Sonia Fowler’s (Natalie Cassidy) home and has nowhere to go. Vinny, who has always wanted to be in a relationship with Dotty, offers to help her out in upcoming episodes, but Keegan’s (Zack Morris) interference ruins Vinny’s hopes of being with Dotty. Could the scorned EastEnders resident attack Keegan?
In upcoming episodes of the BBC soap, Vinny is forced to come clean to his suspicious mother, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) that Dotty is staying at the bedsit.
Angered, Suki informs her son that Dotty has to pay or she will be evicted.
He reluctantly breaks the news to a disappointed Dotty.
Meanwhile, at the gym, Sonia is irritated to see Rocky working out there.
They both watch on as a desperate Dotty begs Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) for a job but is rejected.
Later, Rocky, who is concerned for his “niece”, visits Dotty at Ruby’s and offers to help her out financially, but he doesn’t have enough for her.
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) finds Dotty with a sleeping bag at the club and reminds her of the alarm system.
He advises her to swallow her pride and reach out to Sonia, but she doesn’t listen.
Dotty wakes up after a night of sleeping rough in the allotments and asks Vinny if he can help her to find a place to stay.
Knowing how much he cares about her, she suggests if he finds her somewhere, they might be able to give things a go romantically.
Vinny is confused by her offer and reaches out to Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) who advises him to go for it.
However, she has no idea he is talking about villainous Dotty.
Vinny decides to offer to pay for Dotty’s bedsit and he soon asks her out on a date.
The pair are at Walford East when they run into Keegan and Karen.
Karen is mortified to find out she had encouraged Vinny to give things a try with Dotty.
Later, Keegan visits Dotty and gives her a piece of his mind.
Could he threaten her to stay away from Vinny after she messed him around in the past?
It seems likely because later Vinny asks Dotty out again, but this time she declines.
He accuses her of stringing him along, so she tells him what Keegan said.
It’s possible Vinny, who has wanted to be with Dotty for a long time, will become enraged by Keegan’s interference.
He might decide to find him and lash out, believing he wants Dotty for himself after he had an affair with her which ended his marriage.
Vinny isn’t usually one for violence, but could the argument between him and Keegan escalate into a physical fight?
If so, it seems to have been a long time coming because Vinny was furious and felt betrayed to discover the pair had slept together months ago.
Will the two be able to work things out?
And if they continue to fight over Dotty, could Vinny and Dotty decide to move on from Walford?
Dotty has been left with family to help her after her mother ran away again after informing her that Rocky is her real father.
In denial about this, Dotty wants nothing to do with Rocky.
Most of the Square no longer trust her after what she did to Sonia, and controlling Suki might also try to stop Vinny from helping Dotty.
Will the two decide to make an exit from Walford?
EastEnders continues on Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
