Actress Cheryl Fergison has revealed exactly how she could return to EastEnders, despite her character Heather Trott being murdered in 2012.
The soap legend appeared on Monday's Loose Women and spoke to Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Saira Khan and Denise Welch.
Speaking of a return to Albert Square, she said: "I had this idea, when I first came out, that they could've brought me back as Heather's long lost twin.
"Heather's mum was really awful, she used to sell babies with Babe, so I thought I could come back as Heather's long lost twin and be played by me, the same actress, but they never did that."
Sadly, it seems that boat has sailed – but Cheryl hasn't ruled out joining another soap.
She teased: "I live up north now – Cobbles or the Dales, you never know."
Either way, she's thriving and has been showing off many of her skills during lockdown and now hopes to launch a singing career.
The 55-year-old said: "As actors, we are chameleons. As entertainers, we're people who should have many skills.
"I'm lucky and blessed to say I'm musical – I play a lot of instruments, I love singing – I love acting, and over lockdown I enjoyed doing some presenting.
"I was presenting and singing, doing interviews with everyone. I did a Fitness with Fergs – Fitness and Fergison don't really go in the same sentence."
She explained it was a competition, including the likes of Antony Costa from Blue, to try and get people moving to get their minds and bodies active again.
