EastEnders fans will witness the arrival of Dotty Cotton's mother Sandy in upcoming scenes.
Teenager tearaway Dotty (Milly Zero) is gobsmacked when her mum drops by Albert Square unannounced and causes chaos in the process.
The youngster hasn't seen Sandy in years, and isn't ready to roll out the welcome mat.
Sandy was previously played by Caroline Pegg in 2010. but the role has since been taken over by Martha Cope.
The actress has appeared in Doctors, Men Behaving Badly, Family Affairs, Doctor Who and Holby City over the years.
She has popped up in Walford before in 2014 when she played Minute Mart area manager Melissa.
Martha also had a brief stint in Coronation Street in 2015 and 2016, playing Joanne, a woman who dated Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).
The star's Weatherfield connection doesn't end there, though.
Her father Kenneth Cope also had a role in the ITV soap opera.
He played petty criminal Jed Stone in two stints, and also reappeared as Jed in 2008 and 2009, where he crossed paths with Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire), Carla Connor (Alison King) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
Jed also clashed with villain Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien), who threatened his life.
Opening up about her EastEnders role, Martha said: "I have watched EastEnders since it began and I'm beyond excited to join such an iconic show and having a great time playing Sandy."
Sandy's previous alcohol problems led her to a fleeting relationship with nasty Nick Cotton (John Altman), in which she became pregnant with Dotty and originally kept her secret.

She eventually told Nick about their daughter while he was in prison and he took over custody upon his release, lying to Dotty that Sandy had died in a car accident.
Sandy was last seen on the Square in 2010 when Dot (June Brown) was instrumental in reuniting mother and daughter against the wishes of her son. Since Dotty returned to Walford in 2019, Sandy has remained absent – until now.
Jon Sen, Executive Producer of EastEnders says: "Martha is a brilliant addition to our cast – we're excited to welcome her to Walford.
"To say Sandy has a chequered past is an understatement and it's no secret that Dotty's upbringing was marred by her parents.
"Sandy's arrival catches Dotty off guard and she'll be forced to confront everything she's tried to leave behind."
