Elite has made a comeback and Netflix subscribers are already eager to know if there is going to be an eighth outing on the way.
Fans have been waiting for the past year to get back to the intense Spanish drama after the final moments of the series finale showed Ivan (played by André Lamoglia) waking up in hospital.
Season seven has since been dropped on Netflix, with all eight episodes coming out in one go for fans to watch at their leisure.
Will there be an Elite season 8?
Yes, Elite will be back for season eight with Netflix confirming the show’s renewal back in July.
However, the news was bittersweet as it also came out that this would be the show’s final ever season.

Show creator Carlos Montero spoke of the reasons behind the series coming to a close at a press conference earlier this year.
He said: “We are shooting the eighth season, which will be the last season of Elite.
“We ended on a high note. Jaime [Vaca, co-showrunner for season seven], Netflix and I thought it was time to end it.
“I say this with great regret because it’s been several incredible years in which I’ve met wonderful actors, we’ve worked with all the directors we wanted to work with and we’ve had the luxury of having Maribel these last two seasons.”

“Elite changed everyone’s life, there are actors who started with us and it has been their springboard to be now world stars,” Montero added.
“It is happening to this cast and it is a pride to have contributed to that and to know that they have seen us all over the world and liked it.”
At the time of its cancellation being announced, Netflix also released the names of some new cast members.
The stars who will be welcomed into the fold for season seven are Killer Book Club’s Ane Rot and UPA Next star Nuno Gallego.

The streamer’s longest-running Spanish series follows a group of working-class students who enrol in an elite high school and their relationships with their wealthy classmates.
And much like any other teen drama, there is always plenty of drama for fans to get their teeth into.
So what will the gang be getting up to at Las Enicas this time around?
