Emmerdale fans have been up in arms since Cain Dingle and Caleb Milligan left the village on Wednesday (September 13).
The brothers, played by Jeff Hordley and Will Ash, have had a difficult relationship since reuniting over Christmas, however recently reconciled after Caleb was brutally attacked.
In recent scenes, the pair were whispering about a mystery road trip and were overheard by their sister, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) who was convinced they were hiding something.

While they have both claimed the trip is strictly business, Moira (Natalie J Robb), Nate (Jurell Carter) and Nicky (Lewis Cope) have also been left questioning their motives.
As Moira continued with the barrage of questions, Cain insisted their trip was to help bring cars over from Holland and he is attending because Caleb needs a mechanic.
At the end of Wednesday's episode, Cain and Caleb were chatting about their pending trip, unaware that Moira was listening behind the door.
"It's not too late to back out," Cain told his brother.
"No chance. However this ends, we're in it together," Caleb responded, suggesting their mysterious trip isn't a business one.
Fans have since been speculating what the real reason is behind their unexplained departure, with many theorising it could involve Cain's daughter, Debbie (Charley Webb), who is currently living in Scotland.
One viewer wrote: "I think it has something to do with Debbie," as a second agreed: "Maybe Cain and Caleb are going up to Scotland so he gets to meet Debbie".
"Got to be another Dingle or non dingle but Cain Sibling l reckon," declared a third person.
Other fans believe their road trip could involve Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) or Adam Barton (Adam Thomas).
Adam was last seen in 2017, escaping from prison after wrongfully confessing to the murder of Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney).

Another said: "Wonder what Cain is up to?" to which a different person responded: "Adam or Aaron!"
While a fourth echoed: "Is Caleb going to Holland to bring back Adam. Does he know Adam is doing Strictly and can't come home?"
