NATURE struck back during last night's trip to the Dales as Kim Tate's horse was revealed to have killed Craig Reed.
But the unexpected reveal was tainted by a huge blunder Emmerdale viewers couldn't get over.
Cain and Sam Dingle were desperate to bring Lydia some justice after she was raped by Craig Reed in heart-breaking scenes.
During Thursday's (November 2, 2023) instalment of the ITV soap, nature intervened and gave Craig a punishment nobody was expecting.
After being brutally beaten by the Dingle brothers and released, Craig ventured to the Home Farm estate where he bumped into Kim Tate (played by Claire King) who was riding her horse, Ice.
As he begged for her to take him to hospital, a struggle ensued and the businesswoman's stud struck Craig in the head with both hooves.

Emmerdale fans in shock as Craig Reed's unlikely killer finally revealed
Craig floated in and out of consciousness but was eventually left to die on the Home Farm field.
Kim and Cain agreed to keep quiet, leaving Craig's body out in the field he was found in and, in later scenes, she released Ice into the woods as part of her alibi.
However, one eagle-eyed soap watcher spotted a baffling difference between the horse that killed Craig and the animal that Kim parted with later on.
The fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a side-by-side comparison of both horses, one of which was bearing less dark spots than the other.

This prompted the Emmerdale fan to draw the conclusion that the Yorkshire-based drama has "stunt doubles" for all its stars.
"Left: the horse that murdered Craig. Right: the horse that’s gone on the run for it lol The horses on Emmerdale have stunt doubles", they penned with a laughing emoji.
Thursday's hour-long instalment somewhat confirmed a long-standing fan theory according to which Kim Tate would get revenge for Lydia's rape.
But they were less than impressed by the surprise twist with one of them commenting: "So the horse killed Craig? Pathetic. My god."
Another agreed: "The horse twist is embarrassing" while a third viewer echoed: "A bit of a lacklustre climax Craig being killed by a horse. This week's episodes have been poor and dire – it has to be said."
Emmerdale has featured a series of flashbacks throughout the week as Lydia (Karen Blick) tried to figure out who was responsible for Craig's death.
