Emmerdale spoilers: Daz is riddled with guilt after driving away from car accident and leaving Graham for dead

In a preview for an upcoming episode of the hit ITV soap, the ex-army man is seen suffering terrifying flashbacks of the hit-and-run as he battles to deal with what happened.

Lying on the sofa with his heart beating loudly, Daz can be seen starring into space as he goes over the events of the horrifying crash.

With eyes wide open in the darkness, he torments himself with the details of the harrowing incident before bolting upright.

During last night's episode, Daz was seen smashing into Graham's car while drunk.

Fans were left shocked as an inebriated Daz was then seen fleeing the scene and calling the police to report his car stolen.

It all started when he was seen walking home after an evening with his boss.

He spotted his car in a field – as it had been dumped there after Noah, Amelia and Leanna had taken it joyriding.

Although he didn't know the kids had taken his car, Daz decided to drive it home – even though he was under the influence.

While driving in the dark he spotted Noah's phone ringing on the floor of the car, he tried to reach for it and hit something.

He presumed he had hit an animal and went out to inspect the damage.

Just as he did this, another car pulled up and you could hear them say that a person had been hit.

Daz quickly fled the scene to avoid being arrested and got home to report his car stolen.

Later the police were seen talking to Noah as his phone was found in the car.

The show ended with it being revealed it was Graham who had been hit.

He looked to be in a pretty bad way when he was wheeled into A&E but it’s not yet known if Graham will survive – or if he will have any permanent injuries from the crash.

Meanwhile Daz continues to torments himself and panic as the police start to look into the crash.

As he plots to leave the village will he have the guts to flee or end up staying around to face the music?
