Ellis Chapman (played by Asan N’Jie) is currently struggling to mend his relationship with half-brother Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) on Emmerdale. Ellis has been acting distant with his sibling after recovering from a being stabbed earlier this year. Here’s exactly what happened to Ellis and why he doesn’t get on with Billy.
What happened to Ellis on Emmerdale?
Ellis is currently struggling with anxiety and post-traumatic stress after being stabbed back in April.
Emmerdale viewers witnessed Ellis fall victim to half-brother Billy’s old foes during the Big Night Out episode of the ITV soap.
Billy’s old enemy Riley came back for revenge in the form of his siblings who tracked him down to the same nightclub as Ellis.
Riley’s brothers attacked Billy in the club, only for the Emmerdale character to escape and flee from them both.
In the meantime, Ellis was being distracted by Riley’s sister who manipulated him with her flirtatious manner.
WHY DID BILLY FLETCHER GO TO JAIL ON EMMERDALE?
Riley’s sibling’s plan was to attack Billy while Ellis was distracted.
However, after Billy escaped, Riley’s sister suggested they went after Ellis instead.
Ellis was then stabbed by Riley’s brothers as Billy arrived on the scene just moments later.
Billy then called 999 but hid from the emergency services to avoid any confrontation with the law.
Since recovering, Ellis has struggled to forgive his brother for his part in his injury.
WHAT HAPPENED TO VICTORIA SUGDEN ON EMMERDALE?
All of this has been made worse by the fact that another one of Billy’s old accomplices has made his presence known.
Max (Jordan Reece) set foot in the village a few weeks before the Big Night Out.
Billy had previously worked with Max prior to going to jail a few years back and now his old accomplice wanted to work with him again.
Max didn’t take kindly when Billy said he would only to change his mind.
Ellis and the rest of his family soon found themselves as targets by Max who sought compensation for Billy pulling out of the job.
In the months that followed, both Billy and Ellis have been living in fear as to what Max may do.
WHY DID DAWN’S DAD WILL GO TO JAIL ON EMMERDALE?
Their fears will be made worse in the coming weeks on Emmerdale.
Billy will be left on edge after discovering that Max is back in the village.
Ellis has already been seen hiding from a mystery man who he believed to be Max and will undoubtedly be struck with fear when he hears the Max is back.
What exactly Max could have inshore for the pair will be revealed as Emmerdale continues.
