Emmerdale: Lydia threatens to go to the police
Lydia Dingle (played by Karen Blick) has been keeping her rape ordeal a secret from the rest of the world, but ITV soap spoilers have revealed she is about to confide in a villager.
In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) asks Craig why he was let go from his work experience.
The rapist uses this opportunity to manipulate the story to suit his fabricated version of events.
He soon leads Samson to believe something happened between him and Lydia.
Craig’s grimly satisfied to have manipulated Samson as he welcomes him back to his work experience.

Samson believes Lydia and Craig may have been having an affair, and Mandy is determined to find out the truth.
The following day, Lydia’s horrified when Mandy confronts her and asks if she’s been having an affair behind Sam Dingle’s (James Hooton) back.
An upset and infuriated Lydia rushes out of the house in a panic after shutting down Mandy’s accusations.

Later on, Kim Tate (Claire King) is alarmed to see Lydia crying her heart out.
Unable to keep it in any longer, Lydia bravely tells Kim she was raped by Craig in the workplace.
She’s heartbroken when Kim eventually tells her she’ll need to tell Sam about the rape.
Will the businesswoman’s pleading get through to Lydia? Will she tell her husband and the police about the assault?
Lydia actress Karen opened up to Express.co.uk about the harrowing storyline unfolding on the ITV soap. The star shared: “When I was reading the scripts, I was thinking, ‘Lydia you need to do this,’ but when I’d finished reading I totally understood why she did not call the police.
“I felt a real empathy and sympathy for her behaviour because she feels guilty, she feels ashamed and she feels it is somehow her fault she’s put herself in that situation which is completely incorrect.
“Lydia is at work when this happens and she is very clear to Craig that there is nothing between them. Lydia is clear and concise and says she is married to Sam.”
Will there be justice for Lydia in upcoming Emmerdale scenes?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
