It proved to be an emotional night for this year's Eurovision Song Contest winners Kalush Ochestra who stole the hearts of half of the globe on Saturday night (May 14).
The rap artists performed their hearts out at the Pala Alpitour, Turin, in Italy, with the entire crowd lunging to their feet after they'd taken to the stage.
Last year, Italy's Måneskin won the 2021 contest with their hit song Zitti e buoni.
Through their victory, Italy automatically became the host of the 2022 competition that is aired on BBC One.
This year, TV star Graham Norton has stepped up to provide acerbic commentary throughout the night, with presenter and Strictly Come to Dancing's AJ Odudu taking the crucial role of being the UK's spokesperson.
Earlier in the week, the hosting country held an intense semi-final that saw the UKs Sam Ryder become one of leading the favourites which stunned people across England.
The heats proved to be bad news for Ireland though after their entry Brooke Scullion failed to impress despite receiving one of the warmest welcomes on the night in Turin.
The 23-year-old dazzled in a sassy blue outfit but their Eurovision dream was shortly shot down when Brooke and her entourage failed to make the final.
Speaking about her disappointment, she said: "It didn't go our way, but we are so, so happy with what we did."
In an emotional Instagram post, Brooke explained: "Maybe it just wasn't for me, but maybe in the future bigger things are going to come.
"I couldn't have done any more, and I'm so happy."
Ireland has proved to be notoriously unlucky when it comes to the annual singing contest, with the country failing to qualify for seven out of ten of their last entries.
Finland, Serbia and Sweden were all listed as strong contenders who sailed into the final but even they were unable to stop the winners from taking to the podium.
Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra have been the outright favourites from the very start, and the UK's Sam Ryder put up a fierce fight for the title but just couldn't quite nip it in the bag in the end.
