The TV show Everybody Loves Raymond lets audiences breathe a little sigh of relief when watching the show. While it’s now off the air, the sitcom that follows sportswriter Ray Barone’s (Ray Romano) life with his dysfunctional family was a breath of fresh air back in its heyday. #5 – ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Season 6, Episode 1
The premiere episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, Season 6, comes in at a solid 8.8 on the IMDb scale. The episode summary reads, Michael presents a story about an angry family, which Ray, Debra, and everyone else thinks it’s about them. This causes the family to constantly fight. They decide to go into counseling so they can become a happy family again.”
The sitcom itself was refreshing to the average viewer because overall, everyone’s dealing with a little bit of dysfunction in their families. It was nice to see it on screen in such a relatable way.
#4 – ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Season 7, Episode 22
One of the funniest relationships throughout the sitcom’s run is the marriage between Ray and Debra (Patricia Heaton.) With another 8.8/10 on the IMDb scale, this episode follows a three-week fight between the married couple. You’re wondering what the fight was over? It was about which one was going to put the suitcase away after a trip. Admit it. We’ve all been there.
#3 – ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Season 6, Episode 16
Ray’s mom on the show, Marie, played by Doris Roberts, has always been a fan favorite. In this episode, she tries to keep Ray’s brother Robert (Brad Garrett) from being successful after getting an offer from the FBI. This one comes in at an 8.9/10 on the IMDb rating scale.
#2 – ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Season 5, Episode 19
According to IMDb, “Tempers flare when Marie accuses Debra of not returning a borrowed canister that holds sentimental value, while Debra insists that she has already given it back. Debra is then horrified to discover that she does still have the canister in her possession, and with Ray and Robert’s reluctant assistance, concocts an elaborate scheme to get rid of the evidence, rather than admit to Marie that she was right all along.” This one ranks at a solid 9/10.
#1 – ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Season 7, Episode 9
We’ve made it to the top of our Everybody Loves Raymond episodes list, and this episode scores a 9.1/10 on the IMDb rating scale. This one revolves around a hysterical situation between Ray and Robert. Robert believes he’s found “the one,” but Ray makes the disgusting discovery of Robert’s girlfriend eating flies. Of course, Robert doesn’t believe him, but Ray does his best to convince his brother that it’s true.
Funnily enough, this situation is actually based on something that really happened to Ray Romano’s brother. His brother once fled out a restaurant window once he discovered she had an obsession with snakes and the occult.
