The Repair Shop: Meet new expert
Last Wednesday, fans of the BBC show were left distracted as they welcomed newcomer Pierro Pozella into the barn.
Although The Repair Shop’s 12th series kicked off in March this year, it wasn’t until last Wednesday that the new expert made his grand debut.
The 27-year-old has joined the team alongside the likes of restoring experts Dominic Chinea, Steven Fletcher and Will Kirk.
During his first episode, the expert was tasked with fixing a twin-lens camera for a man called Harry Newton as the item had once belonged to his grandfather.
As Pierro seemed to impress both Harry and the viewers at home with his fix, here’s everything Express.co.uk knows about the newest face joining the show.

Who is the new Repair Shop expert Pierro Pozella?
Pierro Pozella is a 27-year-old camera expert who has been repairing and restoring them for over a decade.
He first got into fixing cameras after witnessing how many were being thrown out for minor defects.
Commenting on how he started in his trade, Pierro said: “It seemed crazy to me that cameras nearly 100 years old were just ending up in landfill and I wanted to change this.
“To understand how these cameras worked, I started by pulling them apart to learn how to fix them.

“Through this process of reverse engineering, I was able to gain the knowledge I needed, to repair and save these cameras.”
It looks as though when the self-taught member of the show isn’t filming for The Repair Shop, he’s busy running his own firm, PPP Cameras.
The Birmingham-based company focuses on repairs, repaints, upgrades, buying, selling and trading.
Pierro also has his own film lab which focuses on developing colour film across all formats.
The star was discovered for the show on social media as he confessed he didn’t believe the offer from the production team was real.
However, his arrival on the show has gone down well with viewers who are looking forward to seeing more of Pierro in the barn.
Teasing what’s to come, the expert has revealed he was challenged with one of the most complex repairs he’s ever faced.
Speaking about the Adox sports camera, he said: “This camera was used by the client’s grandfather in the Vietnam War.
“When it arrived, it probably would have been easier to manufacture a new camera than it would have been repair – there were parts missing screws missing everything was broken, springs gone.
“I made several tiny springs, replaced the bellows and even custom-made and 3D printed a brand-new part for the camera. Despite being a complex repair, it was exciting for me to create replacement parts from scratch.”
The Repair Shop continues on BBC One on Wednesdays at 8pm.
